Chart Properties shortcut menu > Chart – Chart Formatting tab
Lets you edit the appearance of various elements of a chart.
The Chart Formatting tab of the Chart Properties dialog box gives you full control over the appearance of each of the elements of a chart created using the Chart Wizard. To edit the appearance of a chart element, select the element in the list box on the left side of the dialog box, then edit the attributes for that element as described below.
Text
Click Font to choose a font for the selected element. Click Hide to hide the text of the selected element.
Color
Choose a background color for the selected element in the drop-down color menu. Click Hide to make the color transparent.
Lines/borders
Choose a color for the selected line element or for the border of the selected compound element in the drop-down color menu. Click Hide to hide the line or border.
Choose a style for the line or border in the Style drop-down menu.
Choose the thickness of the line or border in the Thickness drop-down menu.
Data points
Choose a style for the data point markers in the Style drop-down menu.
You can give the data point markers drop shadows by selecting a drop shadow style in the Effect drop-down menu.
