Chart Properties dialog box – Values (Data Range) tab

Chart Properties shortcut menu > Chart – Values tab

Lets you modify the data range of the chart you have created. You can also add new data, swap the X/Y axis, enter/modify data directly, and add/remove rows and columns of data.

Data View Window

Shows the data in a table format. You can preview the data, as well as modify each cell’s data directly.

Series

Shows what series the selected cell belongs to. If you select a cell in the Data view window, the relevant series name will appear out of the series names group in the top row of the table.

Category

Shows the X value of the selected cell. If you select a cell in the Data view window, the corresponding X axis value will appear. The X axis is at the left end column of the table.

Value

Shows the Y value of the selected cell. If you enter the data in the one-line text box, it will appear in the relevant cell of the table. You can also double-click the cell to enter the data directly.

Swap X/Y Axis

If you press Swap X/Y Axis, and select a cell, the X and Y values will appear switched.

Namo Web Editor icon note Chart Properties dialog box   Values (Data Range) tabTo insert a new row/column, place the mouse pointer in one of the cells on the border of the table, and in the shortcut menu, select Insert Rows/Insert Columns. If you select Delete Rows/Delete Columns, you can delete rows/columns.
