Recording and playing back a key macro

To record a key macro
  1. On the Custom toolbar, click Key Macro, and then select Start Recording. Alternatively, press Ctrl+Shift+M. (If Key Macro is not visible, add it to the toolbar by selecting Tools on the Categories list and Key Macro on the Commands list on the Customize dialog box.)
  2. Type the sequence of keystrokes you want to record.
  3. When finished typing, on the Tools menu, point to Key Macro, and then click Stop Recording. Alternatively, press Ctrl+Shift+M again.

To play back the last recorded key macro

Do one of the following:

  • On the Custom toolbar, click Key Macro, and then select Play Macro.
  • Press Ctrl+M.
