Blog Server Information dialog box

click Add… or Modify… in the Blog List dialog box

Use this dialog box to specify the server and login settings for a blog account.

Account

Blog name

Enter the name by which you want the blog account to be listed in the Blog List dialog box. This can be different from the blog’s name as specified on the blog server.

Blog type

Click and select the blog type. Currently, two types are supported: Movable Type and Blogger.com.

Server

Server URL

Specifies the URL of the blog server for posting blog entries. If the blog type is set to Blogger.com, this is automatically set to “plant.blogger.com”; you should not need to change this setting. If the blog type is Movable Type, enter the URL of the server hosting your Movable Type blog. Do not include the Movable Type installation path, and do not prefix the URL with “http://”.

API path

Specifies the path of the API for posting blog entries. If the blog type is set to Blogger.com, this is automatically set to “/api/RPC2″; you should not need to change this setting. If the blog type is Movable Type, enter the path to the mt-xmlrpc.cgi file on the Movable Type server. For example, “/mt/mt-xmlrpc.cgi” or “/~jsmith/mt/mt-xmlrpc.cgi” (without the quote marks).

Port

Specifies the TCP port for accessing the blog server. Generally, you should not need to change this setting from the default port 80.

Time limit

Specifies how long Namo WebEditor will wait for the server to accept a connection. The default value of 0 means wait forever.

Advanced (button)

Opens the Advanced Connection Settings dialog box, where you can specify a proxy server to connect through.

User Account

ID

Enter the user ID you use to log in to this blog account.

Password

Enter the password you use to log in to this blog account.

Save password

If this option is deselected, Namo WebEditor will ask you for your password each time you connect to the blog server.
