Drawing and painting on an image

Using various tools in the Image Effects dialog box, you can draw lines, rectangles, or ovals on an image; draw with a freehand pencil, paint with a freehand brush, or erase parts of an image with a freehand eraser.

  1. Select the image on which you want to draw.
  2. Click the Layout tab, go to Effect, and then click Image Effects to open the Image Effects dialog box.
  3. On the tool palette, click Namo Web Editor button pic drawline Drawing and painting on an image (Draw Line).
  4. Click the desired line thickness on the options palette just below the tool palette.
  5. Click the Stroke color box and select the desired color for the line.
  6. Click and drag on the image to draw the line.
  7. Click OK.
  8. In the Save as box, enter the path and file name under which to save the modified image. Initially, the box contains the original image’s path and file name; if you want to replace the original image file, leave the path and file name unchanged.
  9. Under Save format, select the desired image format.
  10. Click OK.

  1. Select the image on which you want to draw.
  2. Do one of the following to open the Image Effects dialog box:
    • Right-click the image and click Image Effects.
    • Click Namo Web Editor 4.images.effects Drawing and painting on an image (Image Effects) on the Image Toolbar.
  3. On the tool palette, click Namo Web Editor button pic drawcircle Drawing and painting on an image (Draw Circle) or Namo Web Editor button pic drawsquare Drawing and painting on an image (Draw Square).
  4. On the options palette just below the tool palette, click the desired stroke/fill style:
    • Namo Web Editor button pic stroke only Drawing and painting on an image Draw stroke only (no fill)
    • Namo Web Editor button pic stroke and fill Drawing and painting on an image Draw stroke and fill
    • Namo Web Editor button pic fill only Drawing and painting on an image Draw fill only (no stroke)
  5. Click the Stroke color box and select the desired color for the stroke (border of the shape), unless you chose the fill-only style.
  6. Click the Fill color box and select the desired color for the fill (inside of the shape), unless you chose the stroke-only style.
  7. Click and drag on the image to draw the shape.
  8. Click OK.
  9. In the Save as box, enter the path and file name under which to save the modified image. Initially, the box contains the original image’s path and file name; if you want to replace the original image file, leave the path and file name unchanged.
  10. Under Save format, select the desired image format.
  11. Click OK.

  1. Select the image on which you want to draw.
  2. Do one of the following to open the Image Effects dialog box:
    • Right-click the image and click Image Effects.
    • Click Namo Web Editor 4.images.effects Drawing and painting on an image (Image Effects) on the Image Toolbar.
  3. On the tool palette, click Namo Web Editor button pic pencil Drawing and painting on an image (Pen) or Namo Web Editor button pic brush Drawing and painting on an image (Brush).
  4. If you clicked Namo Web Editor button pic brush Drawing and painting on an image, click the desired brush shape on the options palette just below the tool palette.
  5. Click the Stroke color box and select the desired color for the pencil or brush.
  6. Click and drag on the image to draw.
  7. Click OK.
  8. In the Save as box, enter the path and file name under which to save the modified image. Initially, the box contains the original image’s path and file name; if you want to replace the original image file, leave the path and file name unchanged.
  9. Under Save format, select the desired image format.
  10. Click OK.

  1. Select the image on which you want to use the eraser.
  2. Do one of the following to open the Image Effects dialog box:
    • Right-click the image and click Image Effects.
    • Click Namo Web Editor 4.images.effects Drawing and painting on an image (Image Effects) on the Image Toolbar.
  3. On the tool palette, click Namo Web Editor button pic eraser Drawing and painting on an image (Eraser).
  4. Click the desired eraser shape on the options palette just below the tool palette.
  5. Click the Background color box and select the color you want to “reveal” when you erase part of the imag
    e.
  6. Click and drag on the image to erase the desired part.
  7. Click OK.
  8. In the Save as box, enter the path and file name under which to save the modified image. Initially, the box contains the original image’s path and file name; if you want to replace the original image file, leave the path and file name unchanged.
  9. Under Save format, select the desired image format.
  10. Click OK.
