Changing an image’s file format
You can convert a bitmapped image from its original file format to GIF, JPEG, PNG, or SIS format.
If you convert a JPEG or PNG image with many colors (such as a photograph) into GIF or SIS format, the resulting image may appear grainy or show banding.
