Inserting an image from a local file
Much of the time, images you insert into your Web documents will come from your local file systemThe collection of drives and network folders connected to your computer., such as photographs you have taken with a digital camera or artwork you have created in a paint program. Namo WebEditor supports most popular image file types, including GIF, JPEG, PNG, and BMP.
To insert an image from a local file
- Place the insertion point where you want to insert the image.
- Do one of the following:
- On the Insert menu, go to Image, and then click Image.
- Press Ctrl+Shift+I.
- In the Image path box, enter the path of the image file; or click (Browse), select an image file, and click Open.
- Click OK.
The Open dialog box, which appears when you click the (Browse) button in the Image Properties dialog box, initially shows only GIF, JPEG, and PNG files. To show other types of image files, click the Files of type box and select All Files.
You can also insert a local image file by dragging it into the document window from Windows Explorer and clicking Insert File or Image.
