Setting image margins and borders

An image margin refers to empty space around the image. Normally the size of the margins is controlled by the browser, but you can specify the horizontal and/or vertical margins explicitly (in pixels) using the Image Properties dialog box.

Images can also have visible borders, although they have none by default. You can specify a uniform, solid border of a specific thickness (in pixels) around an image using the Image Properties dialog box.

To set an image’s horizontal and vertical margins
  1. Double-click the desired image.
  2. Enter a number of pixels in either or both of the Horzontal spacing and Verticla spacing boxes, and then click OK.
To set a uniform image border
  1. Double-click the desired image.
  2. Enter a number of pixels in the Border thickness box and click OK.
