Size

Rows

Specifies the number of rows for a new table. (Use Delete rows or columns or Insert rows or columns to modify an existing table.)

Columns

Specifies the number of columns for a new table. (Use Delete rows or columns or Insert rows or columns to modify an existing table.)

Width

Specifies the width of the table in pixels or as a percentage of the browser window size. If not specified, the table width will automatically adjust to display as much of the contents as possible without exceeding the width of the browser window.

Height

Specifies the height of the table in pixels or as a percentage of the browser window size. If not specified, the table height will automatically adjust to display as much of the contents as possible, creating a vertical scroll bar when expanding beyond the horizontal limitation of the browser window.

Layout

Alignment

Specifies the position of the table relative to the browser window. Click on an item from the drop-down menu to determine how the table should be aligned.

table caption

Specifies the location of the table’s caption relative to the table. Available only if the table has a caption.

Cell padding

Specifies the amount of space (in pixels) between the contents of each cell and the cell’s borders on all sides. If not specified, most browsers use 1 as a default.

Cell spacing

Specifies the amount of space (in pixels) between each cell, horizontally and vertically. If not specified, most browsers use 2 as a default.

Borders

Preset

Select the border type from the drop-down menu:

  • Normal: Specifies the borders in the default style.
  • Thin: Specifies thin borders by setting Cell spacing to ’0′, Light border to ‘white’, and Dark border to ‘black’.
  • Thick: Specifies thick borders by setting Cell spacing to ’0′, Light border to ‘black’, and Dark borders to ‘black’.
  • Hide: Hides the borders by setting Border Thickness to ’0′. Borders will appear as dotted lines only in the editing mode.

Thickness

Sets the thickness of the table border (not the cell borders) in pixels. If not specified, Namo WebEditor use 1 as default.

Color

Sets the color of the table border. If set to “Default”, Internet Explorer will use the Light border and Dark border settings (see below). Most other browsers will use light gray and dark gray.

Light border

Sets the color of the table border on the top and left sides (only in Internet Explorer).

Dark border

Sets the color of the table border on the bottom and right sides (only in Internet Explorer).

Background

Image

Specifies the URL of an image file to use as a background image for the table. If the image is smaller than the table, it will be tiled to fill the table.

  • Click Namo Web Editor button clip art Table Properties dialog box   Table tab (Clip Art) to select an image from the clip art library.
  • Click Namo Web Editor button site Table Properties dialog box   Table tab (Site) to select from a list of image files belonging to the current local site (if one is open).

Color

Sets the background color of the table. Click the Color icon to select a color from the Color Palette.

Style

Click to open the Style dialog box.
