Using table header cells

A special kind of table cell is called a header cell. Text in header cells is automatically formatted with center alignment and bold type. Header cells are typically used as headings at the tops of columns, but any cell can be made a header cell.

To specify cells as header cells
  1. Select the cells you want to be header cells.
  2. Right-click and click Table Properties.
  3. Click the Cell tab and select the Header check box.
To turn header cells into ordinary cells
  1. Select the cells you want to be header cells.
  2. Right-click and click Table Properties.
  3. Click the Cell tab and deselect the Header check box.
