Inserting a Quiz

To create a quiz
  1. In the Tools tab, go to the ICT Tools group and click Quiz Style.
  2. In the Quiz Style dialog box, select Show grades. If needed, set a time limit. Click OK.
  3. In the Tools tab, go to the ICT Tools group and click Quiz Insert.
  4. In the Test Settings dialog box, choose the type of quiz you want.
    • To create a multiple choice question with a single correct answer, choose XXX and enter the question in the Question field. Then click the Add button in the XXX section and add an answer choice. After adding all of the answer choices, check the box next to one of them to select it as the correct answer.
    • To create a multiple choice question with several correct answers, choose XXX and enter the question in the Question field. Then click the Add button in the XXX section and add an answer choice. After adding all of the answer choices, check the boxes next to several of them to select it as the correct answer.
    • To create a true/false question, choose XXX and enter the question in the Question field. In the XXX section, select the correct answer. You may also relable the answer choices.
    • To create a short answer question, choose Short Answer and enter the question in the Question field. Then enter the correct answer in the XXX field. It may be best to enter several correct answers seperated by colons.
    • If you want to create an essay question that is not automatically scored, click Essay and enter the question in the Question field. You cannot set the correct answer for this type of question.
  6. If needed enter an explanation or answer for a question in the XXX field. The content that is entered in the XXX field can only be seen in the editing window and will not be seen in the preview window or your web browser.
  7. Click OK.
  8. After inserting the quiz in steps 3 through 6, go to the ICT Tools section of the Tools tab and click Insert Submit. To receive the results via email, check Send test results via email and enter your email address in the Mail address field.
  9. In the Sumbit button properties dialog box (XXX-cap?), if you uncheck the Send test results via email check box, the results will appear in a message box only.
  10. Click OK.
