Changing properties of layout boxes
 To change the alignment of a layout box with respect to its parent element
To change the alignment of a layout box with respect to its parent element 
- Do one of the following:
- 
- Right-click, and then click Layout Box Properties.
 - On the Insert menu, go to the Table group, click the triangle under Layout Box, and then click Layout Box Properties.
 
- Click the Alignment box and select Left, Right, or Center.
 To make surrounding content flow around a layout box

- Do one of the following:
- 
- Right-click, and then click Layout Box Properties.
 - On the Insert menu, go to the Table group, click the triangle under Layout Box, and then click Layout Box Properties.
 
- Click the Alignment box and select Left (Floating) or Right (Floating).
 To change the background color of a layout box

- Do one of the following:
- 
- Right-click, and then click Layout Box Properties.
 - On the Insert menu, go to the Table group, click the triangle under Layout Box, and then click Layout Box Properties.
 
- Click the Color box and select a color.
 To add a repeating background image to a layout box
To add a repeating background image to a layout box 
- Do one of the following:
- 
- Right-click, and then click Layout Box Properties.
 - On the Insert menu, go to the Table group, click the triangle under Layout Box, and then click Layout Box Properties.
 
- Enter an image file URL in the Image box.
 To change grid spacing
To change grid spacing 
- Do one of the following:
- 
- Right-click, and then click Layout Box Properties.
 - On the Insert menu, go to the Table group, click the triangle under Layout Box, and then click Layout Box Properties.
 
- Enter the desired horizontal and vertical distance between gridlines in the Horizontal and Vertical boxes.
 To turn off snap-to-grid
To turn off snap-to-grid 
- Do one of the following:
- 
- Right-click, and then click Layout Box Properties.
 - On the Insert menu, go to the Table group, click the triangle under Layout Box, and then click Layout Box Properties.
 
- Clear one or both of the Snap check boxes. (Snap-to-grid can be enabled or disabled independently for horizontal and vertical gridlines.)
 To hide gridlines
To hide gridlines 
- Do one of the following:
- 
- Right-click, and then click Layout Box Properties.
 - On the Insert menu, go to the Table group, click the triangle under Layout Box, and then click Layout Box Properties.
 
- Clear one or both of the Visible check boxes. (Visibility can be enabled or disabled independently for horizontal and vertical gridlines.)
