Converting between layout boxes and tables

To convert a layout box to a table
  • Do one of the following:
    • Right-click the layout box’s border and select Convert Layout Box to Table in the shortcut menu.
    • On the Insert menu, go to the Table group, click the triangle under Layout Box, and click Convert Layout Box to Table.
To convert a table to a layout box
  • Do one of the following:
    • Right-click the table, point to Table on the shortcut menu, and then click Convert Table to Layout Box.
    • On the Insert menu, go to the Table group, click the triangle under Layout Box, and click  Convert Table to Layout Box.
