Use proxies

A proxy is a server that acts as a “firewall” against unauthorized access to a corporate LAN from outside. If you access the Internet through a proxy server for either HTTP or FTP, select Use proxies and enter the proxy server’s address and port number in the appropriate text boxes. If you don’t have this information or are not sure whether your company uses proxy servers, ask your network administrator.

HTTP

Enter the address and port number of the HTTP proxy server.

FTP

Enter the address and port number of the FTP proxy server.

Sites to connect without using a proxy server

If there are any Web sites that should be accessed without going through the proxy server, enter their URLs here. Separate URLs with a colon or semicolon. Use an asterisk (*) as a wildcard character.

Example: http://www.namo.com; http://*.namo.co.kr
