Character set and fonts
Character set
Specifies the default character set for new documents. (Existing documents are not affected.) User-defined means the document will use whatever encoding the browser is set to use by default. The Internet code for the selected character set appears in the text box to the right of the drop-down menu.
Proportional font
Specifies the font family and font size that will be used to display any normal text for which a font and size are not specified. (This setting only affects the way such text is displayed in Namo WebEditor’s Edit window.)
Fixed-width font
Specifies the font family and font size that will be used to display any preformatted text (text in <pre> elements) for which a font and size are not specified. (This setting only affects the way such text is displayed in Namo WebEditor’s Edit window.)
The default font settings are only used for Namo WebEditor’s Edit window. Each browser has its own default fonts, which its uses when an HTML document doesn’t specify what fonts to use.
In order for the appearance of text in the Edit window to match its appearance in the Preview window as closely as possible when a font is not specified, you should set the default fonts in Namo WebEditor to the same default fonts you specified in Internet Explorer.
Information
Author
Specifies the default author name for new documents. (Existing documents are not affected.) This name will appear in the Author box in the General tab of the Document Properties dialog box for new documents.
