Lets you set options for editing documents.

General

Load most recent documents at startup

Select this option to have Namo WebEditor automatically open at startup the documents that were open the last time you quit Namo WebEditor.

Lock Insert key

Disable switching to overwrite mode using the Insert key. Selecting this option keeps you from switching to the overwrite mode by pressing <Insert> key.

Display actual fonts in font menu

Display font names in the Font drop-down menu on the Formatting Toolbar in their actual typeface.

Automatic link creation

Enables automatic creation of hyperlinks when you type a URL in the Edit window. For example, if this option is enabled and you type “www.mysite.com” followed by a space or the Enter key in the Edit window, Namo WebEditor will automatically create a hyperlink to ‘http://www.mysite.com’ on the URL. You can undo an automatic link creation by typing Ctrl+Z immediately after Namo WebEditor creates the link.

Copy formatting of text on left side of cursor when typing

Select this option to inherit attributes from the character on the left side of the cursor for a newly entered text. If this options is selected, the same character attribute of the character on left of the cursor will be applied to the character you enter.

Enter key inserts line break instead of starting new paragraph

If this option is selected, pressing the Enter key on your keyboard inserts a line break (<br> tag) instead of starting a new paragraph. (If this option is in effect, use Shift+Enter to start a new paragraph.)

Clip art folder

Specifies the path to the clip art folder on your hard drive. If you installed Namo WebEditor normally, you should not need to modify this path. However, if you installed the clip art library after installing Namo WebEditor, you may need to specify the correct clip art directory here. Click the button to locate and select the directory.

Mode settings

Open documents in

Select the default editing mode (Edit, HTML, or Edit & HTML) in which to open documents. If you select Same mode as current document, Namo WebEditor will open the next document in whatever mode you are using to edit the document that is active at the time you open or create the new document.

Top pane in simultaneous mode

This setting determines whether the Edit pane or the HTML pane will be on top when in Edit & HTML mode.

Spell checking

Check spelling as you type

Checks spelling on the fly as you type in the Edit window. Misspelled words will be marked with a wavy red underline. While you are typing a word, the red underline will appear until you finish typing the word (assuming you spell it correctly).

Hide spelling errors

Do not mark misspelled words with a red underline. This option is available only if Check spelling as you type is enabled.

Spelling Dictionary 1
Spelling Dictionary 2

Specify the primary and secondary active spelling dictionaries. Both dictionaries will be used simultaneously, so that you can check spelling in two languages at the same time. The available languages are English (US), English (UK), French, German, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish, and Swedish.
