Namo Menu > Preferences – Save tab

Lets you set options for saving documents.

Default file extension

Specifies the default file name extension for ordinary (HTML) documents. Both “.htm” and “.html” are recognized by all browsers as HTML documents, so the choice of default extension is based on personal preference.

Make backups

Automatically save the old version of the current document when you save the document again. The backup file has the same name, but with ‘.bak’ as the extension. To open the backup file, change its extension to ‘.htm’ or ‘.html’ and open it as you normally would.

Autosave interval

Select this option to have Namo WebEditor automatically save the current document periodically. Specify the time interval in minutes.

Reformat HTML code

If you select this option, Namo WebEditor will reformat the source code of your documents according to the rules specified in the HTML Formatting Options dialog box. Do not select this option if your documents might include handwritten source code that you want to preserve with its original formatting. (Reformatting does not affect the appearance or functionality of HTML documents.)

Save Smart ClipArt, equation, and chart images in folder

Specify the path of the folder in which to save the image files that are automatically generated for equations, charts, or Smart ClipArts. By default, the path points to an ‘images’ folder in the same folder as the document. To save the equation, chart, Smart ClipArt images in the folder named ‘resource’, type in ‘resource’ in this text box. To save the equation, chart, Smart ClipArt images in the same folder as the document, leave this text box empty.

Save javascript file for tags(object, applet, embed)

Select this option if you want to insert the Obejct, Applet, or Embed elements to the document, and save it as a JavaScript file by default. On the dialog box corresponding to each element, you can set the location of the file and the file name.
