Setting a page break
Using the Page Break dialog box, you can force a page break to occur before or after the current paragraph (the paragraph containing the cursor). Page breaks have no effect on how a document is displayed on screen; they only affect how the document is paginated when printed.
Page break before
Always
Forces a page break before the current paragraph.
Left
Forces a page break before the current paragraph and causes the next page to print as a left-side (even-numbered) page. For this option to work correctly, you must enable Different even/odd pages in the Page Setup dialog box.
Right
Forces a page break before the current paragraph and causes the next page to print as a right-side (odd-numbered) page. For this option to work correctly, you must enable Different even/odd pages in the Page Setup dialog box.
Avoid
Specifies that automatic page breaks immediately before the current paragraph should be avoided.
Auto
Removes any forced page break and resets the automatic page break behavior before the current paragraph to the default (allowed).
Page break inside
Avoid
Specifies that automatic page breaks inside the current paragraph should be avoided.
Auto
Resets the automatic page break behavior inside the current paragraph to the default (allowed).
Page break after
Always
Forces a page break after the current paragraph.
Left
