Save in
Shows the current drive or directory. You can select a local drive or a computer on the local network using the drop-down menu.
Folder/file list
The list box shows the folders and files in the current directory. Double-click a folder to open it. Click once on a file to copy the file’s name. Double-click a file to save the current document using the file’s name, replacing the file.
File name
Initially shows the current filename, or ‘noname[X].htm’ (where [X] is an integer) if you are saving a new document. You can type a new filename here, with or without an extension. If you do not type an extension, an appropriate extension for the selected file type (see next item) will be automatically added.
Save as type
Select a file type from this drop-down menu. The file type is initially set to HTML Files (*.htm, *.html), indicating that the document will be saved using an extension of ‘.htm’ or ‘.html’. If you select a different file type, an extension appropriate for that type will be automatically appended to the filename. The file type selection also determines what kinds of files are shown in the folder/file list; select All Files to show all types of files.
URL
If you are currently connected to the Internet, you can save the document directly to a Web site by entering the site’s URL here and clicking Save to URL.
Title
Shows the document’s current title as it appears in the title bar of a Web browser. You can enter a new title here.
