Save File As dialog box
(appears when saving a document as a text file)
File name
Displays the path and filename of the document to be saved. (This information is not editable.)
Save as type
Text (line)
Each line of text in the document will become its own paragraph in the text file. Line breaks will be treated as paragraph breaks. All HTML tags, links, and other Internet-specific information will be stripped.
Text (paragraph)
Paragraphs are left intact. (Line breaks will be ignored.) All HTML tags, links, and other Internet-specific information will be stripped.
HTML
No changes will be made to the content or formatting of the document. All HTML tags, links, and other Internet-specific information will be left intact. Choosing this option is essentially the same as saving the document normally, except that the filename will have a ‘.txt’ extension instead of ‘.htm’ or ‘.html’.
Character set
You can choose a character set for the text document from the drop-down menu. In case of English version of Windows, the default is Western European (Windows). If the document contains non-Western characters, choose the appropriate character set.
