Attaching actions to a timeline
Each frame in a timeline can have an action attached to it. For example, the twentieth frame in a timeline might have an attached action that opens a new browser window; when the timeline reaches that frame, an OnFrame20 event occurs and the action is executed.
To attach an action to a timeline frame
- On the Timeline panel, click the column representing the desired frame.
- On the Actions panel, click (Add). (To reveal the Actions panel, press Alt+7.)
- Click the Action box and select the desired action.
- Under Parameters, specify values for any parameters the action may require, and then click OK.
- If you wish to attach another action to the same frame, repeat steps 2 through 4.
To remove an action attached to a timeline
- On the Timeline panel, click the column representing the frame that has the action you want to remove.
- On the Actions panel, select the action to remove, and then click (Remove). (To reveal the Actions panel, press Alt+7.)
