Media Properties dialog box – QuickTime tab
Insert > Media > QuickTime
General
Specifies properties for playing a QuickTime file.
Path
Specifies the path of the Quick Time file (*.mov). Click Browse to select a file from the hard disk drive.
ID
Enter ID values needed for playing Quick Time.
Width/Height
Specifies the width/height of Quick Time. If you specify in pixels, the size will be fixed. If you specify in percentage (%), the size will change in proportion to the size of the web browser window.
Horizontal/Vertical Spacing
Creates space around the Quick Time movie. If you set Horizontal spacing, space will be created on the left and right-hand side. If you set Vertical spacing, space will be created at the top and bottom. The space value is set in pixels.
Alignment
Selects alignments such as Top, Middle, Baseline, Bottom, Left, Right, Top of Text, Absolute Middle, Absolute Bottom.
Play options
Auto play
The Quick Time file will be run automatically in the web browser as soon as it is opened.
Loop
The Quick Time file will run repeatedly. If you do not select this option, the Quick Time file will run only one time.
Screen options
Show controls
If you select this option, controllers such as the start button, and volume control will be shown.
Scale
This option concerns the size of the movie. You can select tofit or aspect.
- tofit: The movie will fit to the size set in Width/Height. If the actual size of the movie is ’200*150′, and you set the movie size for ’400*400′ in Width/Height, the movie will play in ’400*400′.
- aspect: The movie will preserve the proportion of the size within the given size set in Width/Height. If the actual size of the movie is ’200*150′, and you set the movie size for ’400*400′ in Width/Height, the movie will play in ’400*300′.
Javascript file path
If you’ve selected the option, Save javascript file for tags(object, applet, embed) on the Save tab of the Preferences dialog box, the default name of the javascript file that the QuickTime file will be saved as appears on the text box.
Save as javascript file
Select this option if you want to insert QuickTime file as a JavaScript on the document.
