Creating a hyperlink on a Flash Button

Unlike with an ordinary image, you cannot create a hyperlink on a Flash Button using the Insert Hyperlink command. Instead, you enter a URL in the Flash Button Properties dialog box.

To create or edit a hyperlink on a standalone Flash Button
  1. Double-click the Flash Button.
  2. Under Hyperlink, type the desired URL in the Link box, or do one of the following:

    • Click Namo Web Editor button open documents Creating a hyperlink on a Flash Button (Open Documents) to select one of the documents that are currently open in Namo WebEditor.
    • Click Namo Web Editor button site Creating a hyperlink on a Flash Button (Site) to select from a list of documents belonging to the current local site (if one is open).
  3. (optional) If you want the link to open in another window or frame than the one containing the Flash Button, enter the name of the desired window or frame in the Target box. (See “Setting a link’s target window or frame“.)
  4. Click OK.

Namo Web Editor icon note Creating a hyperlink on a Flash ButtonWhen you use Flash Buttons in a dynamic navigation bar, you do not need to manually assign a link to each button, because the button’s links are determined by the structure of the site tree and the properties of the navigation bar itself. Any hyperlink assigned to a Flash Button in a dynamic navigation bar or dynamic banner through the Flash Button Properties dialog box will be ignored.
