Import Settings dialog box – General tab

Custom toolbar > Import > Web Site – Addbutton – General tab
(Customize dialog box > Commands > File > Import)

You can enter the URL of a Web site to import and specify general import options.

URL to import from

Enter the base URL of the Web site to import. For example, ‘http://www.namo.com/’. If you want to import only part of a site, enter a base URL such as ‘http://www.namo.com/products/’ and make sure to select the option Don’t follow external links.

Store in folder

Specifies the folder in which to store the imported site. You can type the path or click the button to locate and select a folder.

Select this option to download image files as well as HTML documents. If the site has many large images, selecting this option can slow the import considerably.

Some Web sites link to images that are stored on other sites. Select this option if you want to download these images.

Don’t follow external links

If you select this option, documents whose URLs do not contain the base URL (entered in URL to import from) will not be imported. For example, if the base URL is ‘http://www.namo.com/products/’, a document whose URL is ‘http://www.namo.com/support/faq.html’ will not be imported.

Depth

Specifies the depth to which links should be followed while importing the site. The default value of 10 is sufficient to import all but the largest, most complex sites.

Download all files

Select this option to download all files, even if some of the files have already been downloaded from the site.

Skip previously imported files

If you select this option, files that were already downloaded from the site in a previous import will not be downloaded again.
