Moving, copying, and removing nodes
Moving, copying, and removing nodes are all operations that change the navigational structure of a site. These operations do not have any physical effect on the files that make up the site.
To move a node
- Do one of the following:
- Drag the node to the desired location in the site tree. If the selected node has any child nodes, the child nodes will move with it.
- Select the node, press Ctrl+X, then select the desired parent node and press Ctrl+C.
- Right-click the node you want to move and click Cut on the shortcut menu. Then right-click the desired parent node and click Paste.
To copy a node
- Do any of the following:
- Drag the node to the desired location in the site tree while holding down the Ctrl key. If the selected node has any child nodes, the child nodes will be copied with it.
- Select the node, press Ctrl+C, then select the desired parent node and press Ctrl+C.
- Right-click the node you want to copy and click Copy on the shortcut menu. Then right-click the desired parent node and click Paste.
To remove a node
- Select the desired node and press the Delete key.
- Click Yes.
Removing a document node does not delete the document it represents.
To hide a node in dynamic navigation bars
You can cause a node to not appear in any dynamic navigation barsA set of hyperlinks that are automatically updated by Namo WebEditor to point to whatever documents occupy specified positions in the site tree. that would ordinarily include it, without removing the node from the site tree.
- Select the node you want to hide.
- On the Edit menu, click Enable Navigation.
To unhide the node, repeat the command.
