Navigation bar type
The selection of target group determines what links the navigation bar will have. Each document in the target group will be linked to in the navigation bar. The various target groups are described below.
User-defined
Creates a navigation bar that links to an arbitrary set of sibling nodes.
Main level
Includes all documents at the first level of the navigation tree below the index page. This does not include the index page itself.
Parent level
Includes the current document’s parent and all of the parent’s siblings.
Siblings
Includes all sibling nodes of the current document.
Children
Includes all child nodes of the current document.
Path from home page
This selection creates a special kind of navigation bar that shows the “path” from the index page to the current document. This includes the current document, its parent, the parent’s parent, and so on up to the index page. If text links are selected, the “>” character separates each link from the next.
Previous/Next
Includes only the siblings to the immediate left and right of the current document.
Previous/Up/Next
Includes the siblings to the immediate left and right of the current document, and its parent.
Previous/Home/Next
Includes the siblings to the immediate left and right of the current document, and the index page.
Parent
Includes only the current document’s parent.
Home page
Includes only the index page.
Page number links
Creates a navigation bar that consists of numbered links, each linking to a sibling node of the current page.
Site tree
Shows the site tree of the current site. The nodes belonging to the node set defined by the selected navigation bar type are highlighted. If the navigation bar type is set to User-defined, click a node in the tree to select the sibling set it belongs to.
