Navigation Bar Properties dialog box – Link style – Text option – … button

Formatting

This section of the dialog box allows you to specify the formatting — font, font color, size and style — of the words that are used in text navigation bars. Specify the attribute of the texts to be shown in the navigation bars.

Font

Specify the font for the text used in text navigation bars.

Font color

Specify the font color of the text used in text navigation bars.

Size

Specify the font size of the text used in text navigation bars.

Style

Specify the font style. You can select Bold and/or Italic.

Spacing

Specify the amount of spacing between links for a vertical text navigation bar, as a percentage of the normal spacing (100%).

Labels

This section of the dialog box allows you to change the words that are used in text navigation bars to indicate links to “previous”, “next”, “home”, and “parent” pages. Specify the texts to be shown in the navigation bar.

Previous

Enter a text to use for links to the document that is to the left of the current document in the navigation tree.

Next

Enter a text to use for links to the document that is to the right of the current document in the navigation tree.

Home

Enter a text to use for links to the top-level document in the navigation tree (usually the site’s index page).

Up

Enter a text to use for links to the current document’s parent document.

Separators

A separator is one or more characters that separate two adjacent links. You can modify the separators independently for three kinds of navigation bars: horizontal, vertical, and “path” navigation bars. (A path navigation bar contains links to the current page, the index page, and all the pages “between” the two, thus showing the path from the index page to the current page.) Specify the shape of the separator which separates each hyperlink.

Specify the shape of the separator placed in the left of the left-most hyperlink.

Specify the shape of the separator placed in the right of the left-most hyperlink.

Specify the shape of the separator placed in the left of the links in between the first and the last hyperlinks.

Specify the shape of the separator placed in the right of the links in between the first and the last hyperlinks.

Specify the shape of the separator placed in the left of the right-most link.

Specify the shape of the separator placed in the right of the right-most link.

Page links

Specify the number of pages to show when creating a Page number link navigation bars.
